Overview

Seeking: associate with at least two years of transactional experience to join nationally-prominent transactional practice with a focus in community development finance and healthcare. Ideal candidates will have solid experience in (i) real estate finance, with a specific interest in community development financing and tax credit (e.g. New Markets Tax Credits, Low-Income Housing Tax Credits) financing transactions and/or (ii) healthcare transactions, particularly those involving not-for-profit provider and/or health plan entities, and have a desire to join a concentrated, hard-working group of attorneys representing a variety of clients in this unique practice. Experience representing commercial banks, other institutional lenders and borrowers in secured construction and permanent loan transactions involving entities organized as partnerships for tax purposes and/or not-for-profit healthcare institutions, and experience with tax-exempt bond financing and/or tax-oriented investment vehicles utilizing federal tax credits such as New Markets Tax Credits as an investment incentive is preferred, but not mandatory. Requirements: At least 2 years of strong transactional experience at a large law firm Extensive experience with closing transactions Stellar academic credentials and excellent writing and communication skills Effective and efficient problem solvers and have the ability to work independently and proactively Admitted to the New York Bar and in good standing
