Attorney – Intellectual Property – Patent Prosecution

Registered U.S. Patent Attorney, preferably with at least 2-4 years of patent preparation and prosecution and client counseling experience in a general practice law firm with an IP Group or an IP Boutique. Required candidate qualifications include: An advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular/Cellular Biology, or Immunology. Registered to practice before the USPTO. Admitted to practice in NYS, or if admitted to practice in another state, willing to take steps to be further admitted in NYS. Strong oral and written communication skills. Detail oriented, excellent organization skills, ability to multi-task and work both independently and in a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Favorably considered additional candidate qualifications include: If advanced degree is in Organic Chemistry, additional studies in Biochemistry, Molecular/Cellular Biology or Immunology, and comfort and familiarity with matters in these disciplines. If advanced degree is in Biochemistry, Molecular/Cellular Biology, or Immunology, additional studies in Organic Chemistry and comfort and familiarity with organic chemical matters. Experience in patent and due diligence analyses and performing searches.
