Overview

Seeking : associate or patent agent with exceptional credentials to join Life Sciences Patent Counseling practice. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years law firm experience, and hold a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline. Prior industrial experience is a plus. Must be a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and licensed in the State of California. This candidate will handle a broad range of patent counseling matters, including analyzing patents in connection with due diligence or freedom to operate opinions, performing IP due diligence on deals, managing domestic and international dockets, preparing responses, handling re-exams and inter partes review proceedings, corresponding and collaborating with foreign associates, performing legal research, drafting patent applications, formulating search strategies, and evaluating patentable subject matter.
