Overview
Seeking: one midlevel Associate to join New York office in bank lending practice. The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of experience practicing corporate transactional law at an Am Law 200 firm. Experience in commercial lending is required, preferably with an emphasis on middle market or large cap asset based and cash flow transactions. Experience in private equity finance and workouts and restructurings is also desirable. Examples of specific types of desired experience include the following: * Experience representing banks,investment banks, business development corporations, hedge funds and other financial institutions in lending transactions, with emphasis on acquisition financings, cash-flow and asset based transactions. * Experience representing private equity firms in preferred stock investments, whether in the venture capital stage or for more mature companies is also very desirable but not essential. The candidate should also possess excellent academic credentials; the ability to simultaneously negotiate and handle multiple transactions; strong interpersonal, analytical and writing skills as well as superior negotiating skills.
